Institutional SG1 API Manager Singapore

Edgewater Markets, a leading technology provider offering access to the FX markets globally, seeks a Director-Institutional API Manager who has ownership of in-house pricing and trading platforms, which are passed from global center on a 3X daily basis, to ensure that profitability and customer satisfaction remains at a high level.

The ideal candidate MUST have front office sales/trading experience in FX, and be able to prospect, guide and on-board new institutional customer e-accounts, maintain existing accounts and bank relationships, manage liquidity sources and venues, and increase the volumes, profitability, and diversity of the firm’s electronic customer base.

Job Specification

  • Responsible for all account management/administration related to the customer business, and internal proprietary business
  • Responsible for learning, managing all changes on internal pricing systems (Training on tools to be provided) in SG1 data center
  • Delivery/administration of SG1 trading systems, account management, e-sales, and product expertise as part of a greater trading operations and sales team expanding rapidly in Europe
  • Six-month probation applies
  • Direct management of the European, SG1, New York trading systems during the Asian hours
  • Onboard and manage accounts in e-sales and e-trading of electronic trading platforms, liquidity, and APIs to the institutional FX space
  • Report performance of trading pools and clients to management and sales teams
  • Utilise broad trading skill base to assist in risk monitoring and execution of hedge deals when e-trading department requires
  • Awareness of customer credit and NOP limits will be the responsibility of the role, with the ability of the candidate to expand on strategies and guide the appropriate product suite to meet demands dictated by a broad customer base across multiple distribution networks
  • This is a global role with core focus on the SG1 infrastructure, liquidity, e-sales, and customer management
  • Assist in management of liquidity
  • Identify opportunities to promote Singapore (SG1) client flows across all data centers and product offerings

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage existing allocated customer base and technical needs of customers of sales team
  • Onboard and assist sales with new customer electronic trading accounts
  • Advise clients on best platform and execution method as per their requirements
  • Advise e-trading department on FX hedging from platform breaks
  • Liaise with Managing Director, Head of Sales, and other salespersons to ensure the company remains competitive in its pricing and product offering as part of continuous improvement and growth strategies
  • Monitor daily customer currency exposures, spreads, and limits on in-house tools
  • Manage the firm’s exposure with our Prime Brokers and other credit facilities
  • Be proactive in prospecting new opportunities within client and venue relationships

    Requirements, Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record of managing systems, and the Prime Broker relationship
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Excellent numeracy, platform, and product knowledge: GUIs/APIs
  • High level networking skill leading to opening of new accounts
  • Excellent communication in both oral and written English skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and understanding of sales funnel and administration
  • Ability to work in a team and take leadership and ownership of electronic pricing eco-systems
  • Electronic platform knowledge
  • Strong proficiency in FX markets and front office/back-office relationship
  • Analytical thinking & problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines
